Les Bains-Douches, Alençon

Born in 1986, Rosa Joly lives and works between Berlin, Paris, and New York. She studied at the École des Beaux-Arts de Lyon before attending the Hochschule für bildende Künste Hamburg (HFBK).
Working across painting, installation, sculpture, writing, and film, her practice moves fluidly between disciplines. Her work has been exhibited at the Pernod Ricard Foundation and Film Gallery in Paris; Kunstverein Bielefeld; MOM Artspace, Hamburg (2019); the Falkenberg Collection, Harburg (2017); Kunsthaus Hamburg (2016); DOC!, Paris (2019); and La Traverse, Marseille (2022).
In 2021, she was an artist-in-residence at Triangle–Astérides in Marseille. The same year, she co-founded Scheusal, an artist-run exhibition space in Berlin.
